ANZAC Day Centenary 2015, Torquay Victoria Australia

Every year thousands of people flock to Gallipoli to pay their respects on ANZAC Day. Did you know it’s become so popular that you need to go into a ballot to get a spot?

Most of us however, won’t make the journey to Gallipoli but still attend a dawn service to pay our respects.

Torquay’s Point Danger hosts a very emotional dawn service with up to 10,000 people in attendance.

To cope with the growing crowds, this year video screens and a digital sound system were successfully introduced

Next year we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ANZAC landings in Gallipoli. The Point Danger dawn service will be popular with the RSL expecting crowds of up to 15,000.

So, if you’re not making the journey to Gallipoli, why not pay your respects at the Torquay dawn service in 2015?
