Winter along the Great Ocean Road
18 June 2019 - Uncategorized

It’s Winter but the waves are still pumping and the surfers are out.
It may be cold, but there’s still lots of fun to be had in Torquay and along the Surf Coast during Winter.
Simon’s Bells 77/81
Torquay’s culture is all about surfing. Bells Beach Pro represents a unique challenge for surfers, to win there you have to defeat the best surfers in the world and confront the physically testing power of the Southern Ocean.
To win Bells once is a dream for most, only surfing’s greats have won it, many world champions have only won it once. Sydney surfer Simon Anderson won Bells in 1977, then again in 1981, in the process he ushered in pro surfing’s modern era riding revolutionary equipment. This exhibition celebrates Simon’s wins at Bells.
A unique character, a revolutionary design, a spectacular surfing exhibition. A must visit for all surfing enthusiasts.

Indulgent tasting plates of brownie bites are available along with, brownie dessert pizzas, brownie sundaes, brownie inspired ice cream flavours and of course their traditional ‘best brownie’ will be available throughout the festival and all year round.
Alternatively, you could opt to discover a bountiful selection of brownie creations in the ultimate brownie Tasting Session. In this 45 minute session you will begin by creating your own signature brownie to take home. Whilst this is cooking you will sample six sensational brownie bites and devour a brownie ice cream. Tickets are $20 per person.

Mountain Biking
Ditch the skinny tyres and lycra and get off the beaten track.
The surrounding areas of Anglesea and the Great Ocean Road spoils off-road cyclists for choice with purpose built mountain bike tracks and rolling terrain.
Along with the bush and beach views, you may also encounter a kangaroo or too.
