"I booked Serenity for a solo getaway so needless to say the place was plenty spacious. After driving about 4 hours and much of it through the rain, I arrived at Halls Gap. The clouds parted as I entered the house and as I sat on the back porch, sipping tea after my long journey, and breathed in the fresh air, I knew peace. Serenity felt just like home but so much better, quieter and peaceful. The night was stormy, the winds howled outside and I felt the thrill of experiencing nature's fury. The next morning was cloudy and windy again with scattered rain but my mood was instantly lightened as I opened the back doors, stepped onto the back deck and saw a family of deer just quietly grazing away. It was such a beautiful moment. I later hiked the Wonderland loop (starting from Clematis fall) and drove to Mackenzie falls, all within easy reach of Serenity. It's a such a perfect location :) Returning in the afternoon, I saw an emu in the backyard and two kangaroos across the creek-bed. Delightful! Said goodbye to the cockatoo and deer on my last morning here. This has been the perfect getaway. Perfect, clean accommodation and great location. Will definitely return to Serenity for a longer stay and explore more of the beautiful Grampians wilderness."
"Tranquil accommodation that is within walking distance to the township of Halls Gap. Thoroughly enjoyed experiencing nature at our doorstep!! Whilst roasting marsh-mellows outside, we encountered kangaroos and emus grazing nearby. Birds of all varieties ... cicadas singing ... Enjoyed strolling in the natural bushland across the creek ... whilst surrounded by the cliff edges of the amazing Grampians!! Our children loved the spacious backyard and spent hours playing outside. Overall a wonderful and comfortable child friendly home. The owner was prompt with all communication and very helpful with additional queries. Lots to see and do at the Grampians!"
"Perfect location for spotting wildlife! We were visited every day by a pair of long-billed corellas, mob of kangaroos, kookaburras, pied currawongs, magpies and superb fairy wrens. The kangaroo joeys were a very special sight to see. The house was well appointed and clean. Bathtub was a treat! Can’t wait for our next out-of-town guest so we can plan another trip here."
